Starting Strong: The Importance of Early Pediatric Dental Visits
At Corwin Family Dentistry, we believe that a lifetime of healthy smiles begins with positive early experiences at the dentist.
That’s why Dr. Debbie encourages parents to bring their children in for their first dental visit as soon as their very first tooth appears.
This early introduction isn’t just about checking teeth—it’s about building trust and comfort. When little ones get to know their dentist from the very beginning, they’re far more likely to feel at ease during future visits. These early check-ins help set the tone for how your child views dental care for years to come.
Dr. Debbie and our caring team make these first visits gentle and fun. We keep it simple: a short toothbrush cleaning (called a prophy) and a thorough exam to look for important developmental signs—including any lip or tongue ties that could affect speech, eating, or future dental health.
Our goal is always to make each child feel safe, supported, and even excited to come back.
Whether you’re a brand-new parent or introducing your toddler to the world of dentistry, Corwin Family Dentistry is here to make the experience easy, encouraging, and smile-worthy.
